Engineering Solutions to Noise and Vibration Problems

Eric Favini

Since joining Noise Control Engineering, LLC in 2011, Mr. Favini has contributed to many projects in marine and industrial environments involving airborne noise and vibration measurements and predictions. Mr. Favini has performed vibration predictions using finite element analysis for a number of marine structures and vessels ranging from tugboats and platform supply vessels to large research and military vessels. Mr. Favini has also used Designer-NOISE to perform airborne noise predictions for a variety of vessels and applications. Mr. Favini has focused on studying structural dynamics of ship structures through experimental modal testing as well as improving finite element methodology for ship structures. In addition to his modeling experience, Eric has also been a part of frequent field tests and sea trials.

Mr. Favini holds a M.S. and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Mr. Favini is also a member of Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

Outside of work Eric enjoys photography, traveling, and playing the drums.
